Three days into the month and we now have our second major manga announcement. After yesterday’s shocking Bleach news, it was announced today in Weekly Shonen Magazine that the long running magical comedy manga Negima would be coming to a close. The manga will end it’s run in chapter 355 while chapter 353 will be published on 2/29 after taking a two week hiatus. The series has been running since 2003 and has spawned a number of anime adaptations, some of which have been released in the US by Funimation.

This is a pretty sad blow to manga readers who were already reeling from yesterday. Hopefully this means that Ken Akamatsu is now free to move onto something else new and exciting for fans to get into.

FYI, 'Negima!?' as in the image that's used above, is different from the Negima that's ending.
I never quite got this manga... I might try it again once it's finished...
