See, this is what I love about Twitter; sometimes you’ll just be sitting there doing nothing when news like this hits the wires!
It seems that somewhere between being loaded on a boat in Malaysia and received in Japan, thieves managed to break into a shipping container and make off with almost a million Japanese condoms belonging to Sagami Rubber Industries. According to a company rep, the retail value of the 700,000 missing condoms is around $1.5 million. When asked about the theft by AFP, a police spokesman in Malaysia said “We take the matter of the missing condoms very seriously… we are investigating the matter.”
Tough break for Sagami Rubber, can’t believe that they just let that many condoms slip through their fingers. But that’s alright, I’m sure that they’re have much better coverage and protection on their next shipment. Hopefully the cops will find a lead that lets them catch these guys red handed. Then they can be locked away in a dark hole and forced to think long and hard about what they’ve done.
