Make Your Bedroom Manga-tastic: Ikea Offers "Manga-Inspired" Line

By AnimeEv 1 year, 9 months ago

“Try the meatballs.”

In a definite turn away from color options such as “black, white, grey, and wood”, Swedish furniture giant/purveyor of crappy food Ikea is offering a line called Charlotta, which is designed to be representative of a Japan-meets-Scandinavia style.

Despite a noticeable lack of Gundams smashing shit, Charlotta looks pretty sweet. Has anybody seen this yet? Sign in and comment and let me know. I don’t know if this is available at my local Ikea just yet but I’d like to take a gander.

(When did I go back to the 40s in a time machine? Did I just say “take a gander?” Will I take it after I put on my fedora and my suspenders? Hope Johnny Law doesn’t catch me on the way to the speakeasy, or me and my best dame might end up like Dillinger.)

Ahem. According to “le web”, the fabrics are now available in stores and can be found at Ikea’s homepage here.

An article about line designer Åsa Ekström, who’s name I am probably butchering in my head and looks like an assassin (in a good way!), can be seen at this location. Oh, and here’s her home page.
