Japan likes cute things. And this love of the cute extends to pretty much anything, including mascots. We’re all pretty much in agreement on that, right? So it should come as no real shock to you that the police department in the city of Seya (a suburb of Yokohama) has adopted two cute new mascots themselves this month. Meet Ajisai and Keyaki Seyano (Seya no = belonging to Seya. I see what they did there); they’re fraternal twins with cute owl shaped hair and they’re here to make sure you stay safe while staying in the city! Aw! Would you like to meet them?
Well, they were born on October 1st (but adopted earlier this month indicating to me that they were left alone and forced to fend for themselves for at least a year, how sad!) and while Ajisai likes sweet foods, her brother Keyaki prefers spicy things. Don’t let their cute demeanor fool you though, both of them are full members of the Seya police department and don’t want to see you doing naughty things while in their city. If you’re lost or have an issue, you can take it up with Ajisai and while she’s listening to your problems Keyaki will be out making sure that no one is drinking and driving. Because that’s bad. Alright seriously, I think I’ve hit my limit of cute and moe for this post but one more time just to top it off… one more time all together: Aw!

To know L.B. Bryant is to know that he’s a tired little anime geek living on the Oregon Coast. Fueled by an almost obsessive love of anime and coffee, his writing takes him across the internet but his home is reviewing anime DVDs and reporting on the interesting news that crosses his path on OtakuReview.net. When not posting there or running around anime conventions in the Pacific Northwest, you can also find his other coffee fueled, sleep deprived ramblings on Twitter.
