Despite the fact that the preview told me next to nothing, the animation was great, and reminded me of Ponyo and Whisper of the Heart, so I'm sure I'll like it.
going to try to forget how much i loved the books before i watch this. I've read its not very closely related at all and that makes me very sad. but the movie itself looks great!
This movie has been out in Australia for a few years now and it was absolutely brilliant! Unfortuanately,cause I was watching with my kids and then husband, I had to watch it english. I look forward to watching it in japanese with english subtitles though. I also really hope they plan on doing the sequels. To any Ghibli fans I'd say this is must see definitely as good as 'Spirited Away' etc.
The movie looks pretty, but I'm not sure I'll be able to watch it due to "nothing like the book/doing it wrong" issues.
