Well for a start I never had watched anime other than Dragon Ball Z, but I always thought it was a cartoon until my cool teacher explain the difference between a cartoon and anime. My second anime that I was introduce was Ouran High School Host Club, let me just say my face was blank and I looked at my teacher and thought weirdo. I was completely lost and did not understand a damn thing of what was going on. So he lend me the complete season and now I'm a Ouran High School Host Club fan, sad to say. This anime is a victorian setting, very rich drawing and roses tend to appear in this show a lot. There isn't a episode where roses show up as the background. Everything in this show is very "pretty". The show is about Haruhi Fujioka a poor student who earns a scholarship to attend a very expensive private school. Now let me tell you, when I say expensive I mean a life worth of savings and life insurance would have to spent to attend this school and that would probably only cover your 1st year there. All the students that attend there their family own a big corporation that supply the world. So I'm pretty sure these students blow 20,000 a day and they still have plenty to spent, crazy huh? Well Haruhi isn't rich at all, but is very smart and studying to be a lawyer. On her first day there she was looking for a quiet place to study and accidentally walked into Music Room 3 where the Host Club is held. I don't know why a music room though. Of course these six students greet her with so much ethiuastic that she knocks over a really expensive vase that was going to be auction at a school auction and the bid was going to start at 8,000,000 yen! Now remember Haruhi is poor so what the Host Club does is make her their personal dog until she could pay off her debt. Everyone in the Host Club think she is a boy because her hair is cut short like a boy and she doesn't wear girl clothes. Tamaki Suoh, Kyoya Ootori, Honey, Mori, Hikaru and Kaoru Hitachiin are the Host Club and they are trying to figure out is this boy a real boy. Haruhi still has her feminne side that gives out clues until Tamaki walks in on her when she is changing. They all find out that she is a girl but Tamaki is slow so it took him a while to find out. Haruhi ends up becoming part of the Host Club and become very good friends with all of them. Tamaki is the idiot "host king" and founder of the Host Club and for some reason he refer himself to daddy to Haruhi. Tamaki is truly in love with her though, he's a flirt with a charming mix. Kyoya is Tamaki best friend and vice president of the Host Club and controls all the finacial he's the "cool type". He's not the one to wake up in the morning due to his low-blood pressure, he's the third son of his family so being the youngest his dad expect a lot from him and will most likely never take over the family bussiness. Another thing his family own their private police department with 100 police officer. Hikaru and Kaoru Hitachiin are twins and they love to play a game call "Guess who is Hikaru". They flirt with Haruhi to get the "host king" upset, which is hilarious. They are the "devil type" and pretned to be homosexual, o one has been able to tell them apart except for Tamaki, he was the first one to. Honey is "Boy-Lolita" type and Mori is his cousin and he is the "strong silent" type. They are always together because he watches over Honey due to a family debt. They are also a martial art family they both are a killing machine when it comes to fighting and everyone knows it too. There is a episode where the two of them take Kyoya police officer, all 100 of them. Ouran High School Host Club is a good, funny show I would recommended to other anime fans or first timers. I can't wait for season 2 to see what other adventures they would go through.
