my favorite video game soundtrack would be that of the original Metal Gear Solid for the PSX. when they remade it for the Game Cube as Metal Gear Solid The Twin Snakes, i was so disappointed that they completely re-did the soundtrack and none of the original songs (except the ending theme) were used.
i also have the soundtrack to Castlevania: Judgement. i love that one because they're all pretty much metal versions of classic Castlevania songs.
Oh yeah, and Brutal Legend!

I'm a completely unashamed fanboy for anything that has been composed or arranged by Yuki Kajiura and so I have all of her soundtracks. In particular her soundtracks for Madlax, Noir and El Cazador are amazing. Mai-Hime and Le Portrait de Petit Cossette are also great works.
Hm... I've also grown quite fond of Kenji Kawai soundtracks such as Fate/Stay Night.

I am a massively huge fan of Kenji Kawai. I have beaten this horse to death, but if you haven't seen Patlabor 2, then you're missing one of the best political sci-fi films of all time.
The music is also UNBELIEVABLE.

Oh, man, yeah! Oh, and I have the soundtrack for Tomb Raider: Underworld as well - good, good score.
Though I don't own it, the soundtrack/score of the first 'Valkyria Chronicles' was pretty awesome!!!

KATAMARI DAMACY!!!! Has anyone said that yet? If anyone hasn't yet then I JUST DID!! Best soundtrack ever!! Super whacky and goes great with the gameplay.
Going to skip the anime soundtracks and the usual Final Fantasy stuff and go with Chrono Trigger. Guilty Gear also has some great ones. Bridget's, Chipp's, and May's themes are all pretty good.

The Girl Who Leapt Through Time soundtrack is stunning- so relaxing! i love how they use piano a lot, it is SO relaxing to listen to!
I also love the beginning of Origin:Spirits of the Past, with really creepily good Japanese vocal- fits the terrifying mood so well!
Err, but i also LOVE ALL OF THE STUDIO GHIBLI SOUNDTRACKS! they are seriously atmospheric and seriously fun to work out on the piano- Joe Hisashi is a genius! :D
the best vodeogame series (in my opinion) is Kingdom Hearts!! i am a massive fan and I own all the English released games except for one, and i have heaps of merchandise =^-^=
and the main soundtrack is by Utada Hikaru, and It is one of my fav songs of all time <3

I'm not so sure about them being my favorite, but Kingdom Hearts I and II, and all the Zelda themes... They're always stuck in my head xD
legend of zelda songs....the mario songs that never leave your head once you hear it.... and then theres final fantasy....no boss song will ever beat one winged angel its the most epic final battle song ever

I love the Kingdom Hearts 2 soundtrack. My favorite song is Sanctuary by Utada Hikaru. I could listen to that all day and never get tired.
I also like the Honey and Clover soundtrack. Especially the end credits song Waltz by Suneohair. He's my favorite right now.
