i actually found this website a couple days before christmas when they were giving away hell girl. i was trying to find a good website to watch hell girl on and this website popped up. i was like hell girl free? okayy so i signed up. i actually wasnt planning on doing anything but get the hell girl movie and then disappearing but im glad i didnt. i have learned so much since i first signed up. :D
I found this website through my sister telling me about it and I don't know how she found it, probably through random searching.
My friend who uses it just told me about it during English, about 2-3 hours ago :D
Googling if there would be an angel beats season 2 and i found this beautiful website! :D

you know what i think it was a friend but she didnt say anything to me about it lol i just liked it as an interest but then i got into see what it was then i saw the evangelion chopsticks they were gonna give away then i just kinda stuck around cuz i liked the vibe i got here the fist few days lol

facebook ad, witch is wierd because i never click on those, and yet i've been user spotlight, i made the top/ most active meber list/ and now they have asked me to be forum mod (witch i accepted)... would fate be an acceptable answer???

haha I kind of did the same. not the spot light or mod cause I'm unremarkable and unnoticed but I love this site anyway. Facebook finally did something right.

seriously jyrz you are one of my favorite members on here so you are not un-noticed at least by me anyway you seem to be level headed with a good sence of humor and i enjoy you're posts (and i will now pry my lips off your ass lol) , to be honest i have no clue why they picked me for mod ( aside from that i'm constantly on here) but its something i am happy to accept and will do my best at. anyway point is dont be so hard on youself!

Haha thanx. I'm almost always on here too. I don't know why but I am. And a lot of the time, I'm not trying to be funny. I just see a post, and write the fourth thing that pops into my head.

thank you i will do my very best, and the fact you arent trying to be funny is probably the main reason you are, those that try too hard to be funny usually fail.

Unless they are naturally comedic geniuses. Like Douglas Adams! I read Dirk Gently's holistic detective agency, and I started reading The Long Dark Tea Time of the soul before I had to stop cause I had 3 novels to read for school. But I am currently reading all five Hitchhikers guides. Cause I loved the BBC series. He's probably where my thoughts come from. (And I really need to stop typing so much in every response XD)

i'm having the same problem with long responses tonight lol, and the point about comic geniuses is kinda incalid the reason they are so funny is because they dont try too hard, they try just hard enough lol from what interviews i've read from douglas adams he doesnt force any of his stories he just writes what comes naturally to him. i love the hitchhickers guide books btw!

heck yeah! I started reading it in class when I finished my test early and I didn't realize that I was laughing out loud. I got in trouble. But when I explained that I was reading The Hitchhikers Guide by Douglas Adams, My teacher laughed and understood why I was laughing so I was let off the hook. XD

I met the Ani.Me crew during AX2010 at a bar probably two blocks away from the convention center where they proceeded to hand me a "I<3Ani.Me" sticker and a beer. Two days later I signed up for the website and emailed AnimeEv about contributing/writing for the site and he said, "Okay!" and then the website was just chillin' 'till December when it suddenly BLEW UP and I was like "Woah! Killer dood!" and ya, that's pretty much all I have to say right now.

yea i dont want to give too much away but i was in a hospital waiting room while reading the restaurant at the end of the universe and i had to leave the room because i was laughing so hard at marvin making a spaceship commit suicide...

Actually it happened to me when I was on facebook :D I was playing some mindjolt games and after the mind jolt one I went to games to try to beat my Vegas Nights score X3 which is 13 mil X3 beat my guy friend like a rug XD *cough* Anyways there to the side was this really neat looking banner that had Ani.me and I clicked :D I love this place other then dA and Gaia I hope this can be my third escape X3 (relaxing escape) which it is, I've met such nice people <3

I was on tokyopop but then it shut down(mony problems) and this keept poping up on facebook but i never thought about it then when tokyopop shut down and i need a new website i clicked on it and well here i am

I found this site by searching 'Anime' in the iPod app store. I downloaded the app and thought it was cool.
Facebook ad. I saw win free anime stuff and hit like(Which is odd for me because I, like Ronin and Jyrz, never like ads. Nor do I normally even look at them.) but then didn't figure out this site exsisted until a couple weeks later and then I joined and so far I haven't won anything like my orignal plan was but found a great place to talk to people on. So here I am now posting on this forum, for the same reason as a lot of us. Facebook ad. ^_^

I'm guessing that my answer is the same as most peoples. I believe that I liked the Ani.Me page on facebook, then they started to say that you could win free anime. Clicked on the website that they had posted, and signed up because that was the only way to get the free stuff. As soon as I signed up, I tried to enter the free contests, but thought that I need the AP. Turns out that most of the stuff that was free never needed AP, just the one thing I was trying to get at the time. ^_^ Anyways, I started posting a few things on different forums, and BAM!!!!! I'm here today, and loving it. :P
So from all these comments I have learned two things:
1. A lot of people use Facebook
2. If you are trying to sell something(even for free) the best way is to advertise on Facebook.

then i realized it wasnt the same so when i got my iphone i didnt even bother putting it on there. >.<
i searched for a place to speak to fellow anime lovers and this poped up and i grew to love it
yeah, I got the mobile app for my iphone and realized it was completely different and i was not able to talk to my friends from the site, the only log in I could do is either my facebook account or from a twitter account and not from this actual site, so my friends were not there, I quickly deleted the app for I did not use it

yeah, the mobile app is completely different, it lets you log in by facebook or twitter and have friends that way, but not by your username on the actual site, I guess it is good for pics and articles but that is it, I got rid of my Ani.me app for that reason
